Voss Software Directory Feed Network FAQ Advertisers What makes our XML Directory Feed unique? We set out to create an advertising medium that we would use and appreciate ourselves. We've tried to take the best ideas from different advertising models and come up with something that works for everyone. Our XML Directory Feed gives web developers a variety of ways to access and display our link data. Our purpose is to have our data used in such a way as to give all advertisers (big or small) an equal and maximum opportunity to have their links displayed and viewed. How is this like PPC (Pay-Per-Click)? Our XML Directory feed works similar to PPC links because they are driven by keyword search. This is different from a search engine that looks for keywords within the content of a website. How is this different from PPC (Pay-Per-Click)? Our XML Directory feed is different from PPC links because they can be requested and displayed by web developers a number of different ways. One way is that we feed links so that all links get an equal opportunity to be in the top position. We do not base the position of any links based on how much was paid for the link and we do not charge for every click. All links can be clicked an unlimited number of times without any additional charges and without changing the positioning of the link in any way. Developers Can I change the order of the links in the XML Feed? You can display links however you like. It will be the variety of of many different web sites that will give every link even more chances to be seen. Our focus is to maximize these possibilities and continue to offer new ways for you to access our link data in a way that works best for you. Can I request links by category or by region? In order to help web developers request links to present in a directory style on their web site we have created XML feeds for requesting links by category. Requesting links by region and by other methods will be made available soon. We will continue to develop and improve our tools to make it fun for you to work with our data. Affiliates What makes your program different? We wanted to create an affiliate program that we would enjoy ourselves. It's no fun to work hard as an affiliate for a company and not get anything out of it. We've built our program in such a way as to give you the maximum opportunities to get recognized for your work. For starters, you get a free link in our directory just for signing up. Also, we sell links so you don't have to wait for shipment of a product. When do I get paid? We will pay on or before the 20th of the month for the previous months earnings when your account reaches the minimum amount of US$10 (you can set a greater minimum if you choose). To get paid quickly we require a PayPal account. Other forms of payment can be made by arrangement with us. How much do I earn? Referral Account: We will pay you 10% of the sale for all members that sign up under your Affiliate ID. We will also pay you $0.10 for every member that signs up using your Affiliate ID. We pay 50% of the bid amount for every valid click when using our PPC feed. Do I earn money purchasing my own links? No.
